Hi I’m Iris, I’d like to welcome you on my blogging journey. I really have no idea what I’m doing, but I will do my best to entertain you in all my endeavors. Cookie Chanel isn’t just about cookies, it’s about everything I have that’s going on in my head at the moment.
I have been married for two years and enjoying every minute of it. I’m basically just trying to find my way in life, seeing where I fit in and where I don’t. Cooking and traveling are two of my loves and since I pretty much am always either talking about food or taking pictures of my food, I figured I might as well create a blog and have somewhere to put it. I’m pretty sure my family will enjoy getting a break from all my pictures of cakes and pies.
Let me tell you a little bit about my culinary journey. Don’t worry this will only take a minute, seeing as it’s not very extensive. I have always love to bake and cook, and I have also always taken classes on baking. I loved it so much I decided to go to Johnson and Whales culinary school for baking and pastry. It wasn’t what I thought it would be, it was highly competitive and a popularity contest, which frankly I wanted no part of. I was miserable and left after one semester, it just wasn’t for me. Johnson and Whales is a wonderful school, it just wasn’t for me. Needless to say what’s a girl to do now? I kept on baking and am trying to start a small baking business and well now, why not blog about it too. The photo below is of me (on the left) and my sister (on the right).
